This batch of superhero books features some classic X-Men reprints, alternate reality Spidey action, the new Black Panther run by John Ridley, some Al Ewing Cable shenanigans, a new version of Darkhawk, a celebration of Asian Marvel heroes, and the obligatory Kang spotlight to tide MCU fans over.

Written by Stan "The Man" Lee and illustrated by Jack "King" Kirby, it's super hero adventure at its best! Collecting X-MEN (1963) #1-10. Ages 10 & Up
MAY210730
Why this caught my eye:
I'm still just super happy Marvel is doing reprints in this accessible format, and actually highlighting that they are ages 10 and up. I just think it's evil that they're making people choose between the super nice Michael Cho covers and the classic Kirby covers. It's probably the Cho for me, simply because I have to have this cover in some other reprint somewhere, but still it's tempting anyway.
SPIDER-MAN HC LIFE STORY
(W) Chip Zdarsky (A) Mark Bagley (CA) Chip Zdarsky
Spider-Man makes history! In 1962's AMAZING FANTASY #15, teenage Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider and became the amazing Spider-Man! Nearly sixty years have passed in the real world since that event - so what would have happened if the same amount of time passed for Peter? In celebration of an icon, Chip Zdarsky and legendary artist Mark Bagley spin a unique Spidey tale - telling the entire life story of Spider-Man from beginning to end, set against the key events of the decades through which he lived! From the Vietnam War to Secret Wars and Civil War, all the way through to what just might be a 72-year-old Spider-Man's final mission, prepare to watch Peter Parker age by the issue - now in hardcover, including a brand new Annual tale!

Why this caught my eye:
I really enjoyed the series when it came out, especially since the concept of 'But what if time moved normally in a comic world?' is engaging on its own. I kinda hate it when they collect a series and then add something to it so soon to make an even more complete edition, but at least it's a format upgrade as well.

Why this caught my eye:
After the 5 year run by Ta-Nehisi Coates it will be interesting to see what Ridley will bring to the table. Plus I really appreciate Cabal's artwork, especially after Tom Taylor made this appreciation post for his contributions to All New Wolverine.
CABLE RELOADED #1
(W) Al Ewing (A) Bob Quinn (CA) Stefano Caselli
THE BIG GUN IS BACK! It's a new era, in a new galaxy, that's under siege from a deadly new threat...but you can still rely on one man. Cable is locked, loaded and landing on the deadliest planet in X-history - to steal the ultimate weapon...and stop the LAST ANNIHILATION! Rated T+

Why this caught my eye:
I can appreciate Cable at times, but usually in small doses as his time travel shenanigans and clones tend to give me headaches. An Al Ewing prescribed dosage of a one-shot issues sounds perfect.
DARKHAWK #1
(W) Kyle Higgins (A) Juanan Ramirez (CA) Iban Coello
Who is the ALL-NEW DARKHAWK? Connor Young is a seventeen-year-old star basketball player with the world ahead of him, until a surprising medical diagnosis changes everything. But what happens when a mysterious amulet finds him and gives him powers beyond belief? What will he do with these new abilities? Get in on the ground floor as KYLE HIGGINS (RISE OF ULTRAMAN, Radiant Black) and JUANAN RAM REZ (WEB OF VENOM) start a new era. Rated T+
JUN210585
Why this caught my eye:
I just have a soft spot for the Darkhawk design, plus Kyle Higgins is a fun writer. Plus I think relaunching with a new person as Darkhawk has a lot of possibility, so here's to hoping.
MARVELS VOICES IDENTITY #1
(W) Gene Luen Yang, More (A) Marcus To, More (CA) Jim Cheung

Why this caught my eye:
Some pretty great talent attached to this and you can find a more complete list of contributors over at AIPT plus some of the really nice variant covers.
KANG THE CONQUEROR #1
(W) Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing (A) Carlos Magno (CA) Mike Del Mundo
THE ORIGIN OF KANG!
The man called Kang the Conqueror has been a pharaoh, a villain, a warlord of the space ways and even, on rare occasions, a hero. Across all timelines, one fact seemed absolute: Time means nothing to Kang the Conqueror.
But the truth is more complex. Kang is caught in an endless cycle of creation and destruction dictated by time and previously unseen by any but the Conqueror himself. A cycle that could finally explain the enigma that is Kang. And a cycle that begins and ends with an old and broken Kang sending his younger self down a dark path... Rated T+
JUN210542
Why this caught my eye:
Kang's never been a favorite of mine but with the MCU's focus switching over to him there's a lot of possibilities if they can keep their time travel convolution in check. I definitely have to give them credit for having this queued up just in time though.
That's it for this batch, we'll take a look at some DC superhero stuff next time!
