This batch features a new Nick Dragotta project from Image, a classic Denny O'Neil reprint from 1954, a coming of age story in space, the story of Kahless the Unforgettable, and the return of Ashley Wood's Zombies VS Robots.
GHOST CAGE #1

This ALL-NEW, EXTRA-LENGTH LIMITED SERIES teams artistic dynamo DRAGOTTA with rising-star writer CALEB GOELLNER (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: New Animated Adventures). Why this caught my eye:
I really enjoy Dragotta's work and the pitch sounds like it can just be some quirky fun.
PS ARTBOOK CHARLTON PREMIERE CHILDREN OF DOOM MAGAZINE
(W) Dennis O'Neil (A) Pat Boyette
Charlton's Children of Doom by Sergius O'Shaugnessy (Denny O'Neil) and the late great Pat Boyette is a full length comic book story with a blend of full color and black and white pages.
The adventure featuring a holocaust, space and time traveling with more than a few mutants wandering around is a compelling story, especially given the period it was produced in and the audience it was aimed at. Very much a product of the Cold War era with a rather obvious Dr. Strangelove reference as the world faces an uncertain future in the age of the Atom Bomb. Originally published in September 1954.

Why this caught my eye:
I greatly appreciate that PS Artbook is printing up a lot of these obscure books from talents like Denny O'Neil. And just a reminder, they usually don't print a lot so pre-order through your local comic store to be safe if you're interested.
BEYOND THE BEYOND #1
(W) Christian Tropeano (A) Gian Fernando
Nova Vega is a teenage idealist who resides on a mining colony run by the oppressive Omni corporation. Nova is disenchanted by her prospects of entering the Omni Mining Academy, for she'd much rather be out exploring the stars like her parents before her. We are also introduced to Sirius Vega, Nova's older brother and guardian, who picks her up after she's thrown out of class for insubordination. When an argument between the siblings goes too far, Nova enacts her long awaited plan to escape the mining colony and explore the alien world from where her parents never returned.

Why this caught my eye:
I generally want to give Scout a shot here and there as they've really impressed me with a few projects. Plus hey, that's just a nice cover.

Why this caught my eye:
I'm less interested in this one than I am the Ferengi special that's on the way, but in general I think it's fun that they're stepping back from stuff like the Discovery continuity and just hitting these one-shots.

Why this caught my eye:
That's a lot of good extra material they're packing into these packages, and it's just been a long time since we've had Ashley Wood comics on the stand.
That's it for this batch, we'll hit up some fantasy on the next round!
