Time to check out a few new sci-fi titles coming out in a few months!
You'll see that I'll try to include a little order code with most items (ex:JUL200019). Show some love to your retailer and use those codes when you can, it saves a lot of time on the data entry end of things.
POST AMERICANA #1
(W) Steve Skroce (A) Dave Stewart (A/CA) Steve Skroce
From MAESTROS creator, WE STAND ON GUARD co-creator, and The Matrix storyboard artist STEVE SKROCE with coloring by Eisner Award-winning DAVE STEWART.
The Cheyanne mountain installation, aka The BUBBLE, is the most sophisticated super bunker in the world. It was built to ensure the survival of America's executive branch of government and its most important citizens, should the unthinkable happen. When the world ended, the executive branch failed to reach the sanctuary, but the elite citizenry did. Eighty years later, one of their own has named himself the new President of the United States. His plan? Subjugate the survivors of the American Wasteland using the same bunker resources meant to rebuild it. The only thing standing in their way is a deadly Wasteland girl, hellbent on revenge! Why this caught my eye:
I'm just a fan of Skroce's work and his projects are few and far between, so it's always a treat just to see he has anything in the works.
EXPANSE #1
(W) Corinna Bechko (A) Alejandro Aragon (CA) W. Scott Forbes
* A new limited series event set between Season 4 and Season 5 of Amazon's hit series The Expanse from Corinna Bechko (Green Lantern: Earth One) and Alejandro Aragon (Resonant)
* Chrisjen Avasarala, the former longtime Secretary-General of the United Nations, has found herself relegated to Luna after losing the latest elections...and she doesn't plan on going down without a fight.
* So when Bobbie Draper - a former Martian marine - brings her intel on an intergalactic black market weapons ring, Avasarala sees a chance to reclaim her former political position of power through a clandestine operation.
* But as Draper digs deeper into this secret cabal, she soon realizes the threat they pose is far larger - and closer to home - than either of them ever imagined... OCT200906
Why this caught my eye:
I'm generally not too much of a fan of tv franchise comic series, but I absolutely love the A) The Expense, B) Bechko's scripting (which is a perfect fit for this world), and C) Chrisjen Avasarala being a cold hearted political badass. This particular sub-plot of Avasarala and Bobbie Draper that was set up at the end of season 4 was also pretty interesting, so we can only hope this is a relevant connection point to the show.
BLADE RUNNER 2029 #1
(W) Michael Green, Mike Johnson (A) Andres Guinaldo, Peach Momoko
The first comic to tell original, in canon stories set in the Blade Runner universe returns! It is 2029 and Blade Runner Ash continues to hunt the streets of the rain soaked dystopian world of Los Angeles for renegade Replicants, but this time she's trying to protect as many as she can find. Written by Academy award nominated screenwriter MICHAEL GREEN(Blade Runner 2049) and co writer MIKE JOHNSON (Supergirl)!
OCT201583
Why this caught my eye:
I'm not the biggest Blade Runner fan but it's always worth highlighting a new comic series, especially as this one has the screenwriter from the last movie attached. Plus, there's plenty of Peach Momoko fans who grab every single one of her covers.
BLACK BEACON #1
(W) Ryan Lindsay (A/CA) Sebastian Piriz
There's an intergalactic space station out there bigger than our solar system that wants everyone to come along and meet up. The beacon made it sound like a utopia, but what Niko finds upon her arrival is a lawless expanse where everyone is out for themselves and she's so late she doesn't even have a seat at the table. A story of survival, truth, and experience lies in front of Niko if she can figure out who to trust and what to do before the secret of her journey catches up with her.

Why this caught my eye: Story concept sounds like an interesting hook and I like the look of Piriz artwork. Heavy metal is beginning to release some interesting stuff under their new imprints, so it's worth keeping an eye on them.
TRANSFORMERS 84 TP SECRETS & LIES
(W) Simon Furman (A/CA) Guido Guidi
An all-new miniseries in the original Transformers comic universe! What shocking revelations will forever change what we thought we knew of the beloved '80s series?

As Optimus and his recruits take off to stop an even deadlier threat-an asteroid belt powerful enough to destroy the metal world-Megatron leads a team of Decepticons after in hot pursuit! But what other motivations does Prime have for this mission? How does it benefit Shockwave's goals? And what does it all have to do with a secret on Earth in the eleventh century?
Collects the four-issue Transformers '84: Secret and Lies series, plus the Transformers '84 #0 one-shot.
OCT200414
Why this caught my eye:
Anytime any publisher allows Furman to come back and tell stories placed within his original Marvel continuity it feels a little bit like Christmas came early. The '84 One-Shot was interesting, adding the concept that Optimus basically set up his entire crew for failure on purpose. I was tempted to get these single issues but I figured I would get the collection anyway.

Why this caught my eye:
This looks so stupid. I love it.
