Why this caught my eye:

I was really hoping this material would be collected somehow, but I don't think I had to worry too much because Disney and Marvel surely understand that cats=$$$.

HELLO WORLD GN

(W) Mado Nozaki (A) Yoshihiro Sono, Manatsu Suzuki

An atmospheric high school love story with a science fiction plot full of twists and turns. Naomi, a shy teenage bookworm, is visited by his future self and tasked with fixing his biggest regret-his classmate and soon-to-be-girlfriend Ruri is going to die from an accident soon after they begin dating. But his chance to alter the future soon turns out to be far more complicated, as the very world the teens live in isn't quite what it seems. This intriguing sci-fi romance is a tale for the ages.

Why this caught my eye:

Romance tales featuring the consequences of mucking about with the timeline feels like a genre mash that I haven't seen abused too much as of late, so this sounds like it may have some potential.

BURN WITCH GN VOL 01

(W) Tite Kubo (A) Tite Kubo

Behind the world you think you know lies a land of magic and fairy tales-but Reverse London isn't the pretty picture that's painted in children's books. Fairy tales have teeth, and the dedicated agents of Wing Bind are the only thing standing between you and the real story.

For teen audiences.

Why this caught my eye:

I feel like it's a little weird that the solicitation doesn't point out that Tite Kubo is the creator behind Bleach, so heads up if you are a fan of that manga.

KIRURU KILL ME GN VOL 01

(W) Yasuhiro Kano

From the creator of the Shonen Jump manga Pretty Face and Mx0 comes a dark and wacky action comedy where one man falls head over heels for a hired killer - and orders a hit on himself, just to spend more time with her! Aoi Nemo is a big-ticket businessman whose face has appeared on all the magazines, and there's a price on his head. Coming to collect is Akaumi Kiruru, an assassin as deadly as she is beautiful. But the person who requested the hit was Aoi himself! From the moment he laid eyes on her, Aoi fell for this femme fatale, and he'll do whatever it takes to spend more time with her: even if it means risking his own life!

Why this caught my eye:

I haven't read too many action comedies in a while and that pitch feels like the right balance of dumb and fun to be enjoyable.

CLOCKWORK APPLE GN

(W) Osamu Tezuka (A) Osamu Tezuka

When a Nazi lieutenant is sentenced to death for war crimes, he expects to escape with his life, but hubris is his downfall.

A female android marries for love but is soon lost, and she must deal with the consequences.

After a married man finds out his city is being experimented on, he tries to save the people while struggling with adulterous thoughts.

On a dark and lonely road, a cabby picks up a shady man who threatens him, but little does his passenger know the cabby is not as he seems.

An educated man falls in love with an elusive woman who has a life altering secret. American school kids learn the cruelty of war.

A revolutionary fails his revolution, and an interstellar peace conference does not yield the hoped for results when space hippies defy peace conventions

Why this caught my eye:

I guess I'm kind of a sucker for when an anthology book lists its stories in such a succinct manner.

That's it for this batch, we'll hit art books on the next round!
