This batch features a rural crime noir/superhero blend, a loveletter to 1980's event comics, the next chapter in the Ninja Turtles/Power Rangers crossover, an exploration into the personal traumas of retired heroes, and the return of Darkwing Duck.

Why this caught my eye:
I'm having trouble thinking of any other rural crime noir/superhero genre mashing I may have previously read, so I just like the idea of checking that out.
SAGA OF A DOOMED UNIVERSE #1
(W) Scott Reed (A/CA) Scott Reed
CEX Publishing is proud to present 1984's most shocking comic book, revealed at last!
The heroes have been murdered - all except for Roy Brannon, a costumed loser who could never become the champion that Earth needs. Now, it will be Roy's chance to prove everyone wrong.... even if he has to destroy the entire Universe to do it! This is the comic that changed everything, presented in three triple-sized volumes with six covers, including homages to some of the other comics that changed everything! JUL221390
Why this caught my eye:
This lands in that very specific niche of multiversal/meta/event analog deconstruction that I tend to like, and previews looked interesting. Also, while it's obnoxious that there's a ton of covers, I do have to say that I am a sucker for these types of homage covers.
MMPR TMNT II #1
(W) Ryan Parrott (A/CA) Dan Mora
It's been six months since the Teenagers With Attitude and the Heroes In A Half Shell teamed up to defeat the unholy alliance of Rita Repulsa and Shredder, but a new threat will force them to reunite in the crossover YOU demanded!
Between an invasion from beyond, old enemies teaming up with unlikely accomplices, and a threat to the Rangers' powers themselves, will the two teams survive the onslaught, or will they need help from the most unexpected ally imaginable?
Longtime Power Rangers architect Ryan Parrott (Rogue Sun) joins forces with superstar artist Dan Mora (World's Finest, Once & Future) to deliver the follow-up to the hit crossover!
Collect all four connecting main covers by Dan Mora, a very special double gatefold variant, and don't miss this collector's opportunity as TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman and Freddie Williams II team up for a variant cover for every issue in this series!
But that's not all, a Deluxe Edition will include 1 of 10 intermixed trading cards and an EXCLUSIVE print celebrating this epic crossover event!

Why this caught my eye:
Loves me some Dan Mora.
FINAL GIRLS TP
(W) Cara Ellison (A/CA) Sally Cantirino
When the world's most powerful working hero asks her retired peers for help, they secretly agree to deal out punishment on another hero in the public eye. But when the weapon of publicity is wielded, it threatens to kick up all of the personal traumas of the heroes, past and present . . .
Collects the original digital series for the first time in print!

Why this caught my eye:
I'm liking Cantirino's art style and the set up sounds solid for some good superhero drama.
DARKWING DUCK #1
(W) Amanda Deibert (A) Carlo Lauro (CA) David Nakayama
He is the terror that flaps in the night...He is the ferocious fowl who plucks the evil eye from the face of foul play...He is Darkwing Duck!
Alongside his trusty sidekick Lauchpad McQuack, Darkwing hyper-vigilantly defends St. Canard from the dastardly, devilish demons who would wage wanton war! By night, our caped defender lurks in the shadows, striking fear (and maybe confusion?) in the heart of the criminal underworld...but by day, no one suspects that Darkwing is also mild-mannered Drake Mallard, a well-meaning father to his adorable adopted daughter, Gosalyn! Can Darkwing successfully navigate his two separate lives, all while looking incredibly cool and impossibly handsome? (Hint: Probably not, but...) You'll have to read to find out!

Why this caught my eye:
I mean maybe this should go in the all-ages previews, but I think all of ya'll are closer to me in feeling nostalgia for this property. I also really love the Nakayama covers I'm seeing so far.
That's it for this batch, we'll hit up some LGBTQ+ material on the next round!
