This batch features a prequel to the upcoming Rebel Moon film, plenty of musical sci-fi opera's, some metaphysical dystopia action, and some BW&R xenomorph anthology style stroytelling.

Why this caught my eye:
Y'know, I saw the trailer for the film and was really interested until Snyder's name popped up at the end, and then I was mad at myself for not realizing it with all the slow motion bits. Still, as a space opera it could still be interested, and we've got Vissagio attached to this and a nice Artgerm cover.
THE PRISM #1
(W) Matteo De Longis (A/CA) Matteo De Longis
BIG 40-PAGE FIRST ISSUE FOR SAME 32-PAGE PRICE!
Noise pollution is crushing life on earth. The largest mega-corporation on the planet finances a crazy project called The P.R.I.S.M. (Purifying Recording Interplanetary Space Mission) to combat the phenomenon: sending a musical supergroup into space to record an album that will produce sounds able to push back the threat known as S.O.T.W. (Smoke on the Water) and save the planet. Where rock'n'roll excess and the survival of all life on Earth collide, there is...THE PRISM!
Creator Matteo De Longis (Avengers: The Initiative, Sky Doll Space Ship) takes a far-out premise and builds a visually stunning and convincing new world that will have you mesmerized, telling the story about man's greatest feat in space so far. THE PRISM is destined to become your favorite new series featuring your favorite new band!

Why this caught my eye:
Fun concept, plus Matteo De Longis' art is pretty great.
LIFE HOUSE HC
(W) James Harvey, David Hine (A) Max Prentis (CA) Dean Paris (A/CA) James Harvey
An original graphic novel based on rock music legend Pete Townshend's 1970 screenplay of the same name, which inspired The Who's 1971 globally bestselling and universally beloved album, Who's Next.
Set in a dystopian future where music has been outlawed, LIFE HOUSE follows a small band of rebels who stage an underground concert in an effort to undermine a tyrannical leader...and free Britain and all of humanity.
This graphic novelization is co-written by Doom Patrol's JAMES HARVEY and Spider-Man Noir's DAVID HINE, with art by both HARVEY and Australian visual artist MAX PRENTIS, lettering by MICHAH MYERS, and inks by Eisner Award-winning artist MICK GRAY. It is edited by the former editor-in-chief of Bleeding Cool, HANNAH MEANS-SHANNON, and features a massive vinyl LP format (12.25 x 12.25). This is a must-have for any serious music collectors, rock fans, and pop culture aficionados!
Originally envisioned as a sci-fi rock epic to follow up The Who's chart-topping song, "Tommy," and put aside 50 years ago-in favor of Who's Next songs like "Baba O'Riley," "Won't Get Fooled Again," and "Behind Blue Eyes"-LIFE HOUSE** will finally take center stage.

Why this caught my eye:
It's a musical sci-fi batch this time around, and this one has a hell of a pedigree.

Why this caught my eye:
It's very much the Matrix formula but sounds like they might be playing around with some interesting ideas in future issues.
LOTUS LAND #1 (OF 6)
(W) Darcy Van Poelgeest (A) Caio Filipe (CA) Alex Eckman-Lawn
In a Vancouver of the future painted with ultramodern decay, a groundbreaking advancement in technology promises an end to entropy itself. But when an attack on this mysterious "Keeper Program" threatens the lives of everyone tied to it, retired Police Detective Bennie Strikman is called to investigate one last case. Eisner-winning and Harvey-nominated writer and director Darcy Van Poelgeest (Little Bird) is joined by rising star artist Caio Filipe (Stranger Things: Tales From Hawkins) for this timely and thought-provoking look into the human condition, set in a dystopia that's as grounded as it is metaphysical.

Why this caught my eye:
Liking Filipe's art in the previews a lot, and getting some decent Bladerunner vibes.

Why this caught my eye:
I am a sucker for the B&W&whatever style anthology, plus it's just a good way to be exposed to different talents.
That's it for this batch, we'll check out some sci-fi titles on the next round!
